Kepp App

Kepp App is the content-publishing tool for kepp.se, an online shop selling hand-painted miniatures and dioramas based in Northern Sweden.

What it does

Once a day, Kepp App automatically builds a short vertical video showcasing one product from the kepp.se catalogue — created from the product's own photos, with text overlays and music — and publishes it to Kepp's own TikTok account.

How it works with TikTok

Kepp App integrates with TikTok using Login Kit and the Content Posting API (Direct Post):

  • Login Kit (user.info.basic) — used once, during setup, to identify and connect the TikTok account that authorizes the app.
  • Content Posting API (video.publish) — used to upload the daily product video directly to the connected account, together with a caption and hashtags. Before each post, the app queries TikTok's creator-info endpoint to confirm the account's available privacy settings, and it labels each video as promotional content because it features Kepp's own products.

Data we access and how we use it

  • We access only the connected account's basic profile information (open ID, display name, avatar) to confirm which account is posting.
  • We store only an encrypted refresh token, so the app can post on a schedule without repeated logins.
  • We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data, and the app posts only to the single account that explicitly authorized it.

Who uses it

Kepp App is operated solely by the owner of kepp.se to publish that shop's own marketing content. It is not a public, multi-user product.
